About Me

I believe the best counseling relationships are built on trust, understanding, and genuine connection. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and supported as we do the work together. I bring warmth, compassion, and authenticity to each session while tailoring therapy to your individual needs. Here’s a little more about who I am and what you can expect when working with me.

Meet Bev Mizrany, LPC

A wooden desk with a black closed laptop, a white notebook with a gold pen, a small clear glass vase with purple aster flowers, a white modern table lamp, and a white ceramic cup and saucer, against a plain light-colored wall.

I became a counselor because I genuinely enjoy helping others, and my own experiences with counseling showed me the value of the right support. That experience shaped the kind of counselor I strive to be: professional, compassionate, and supportive, while still being real and human.

Before becoming a counselor, I worked as an elementary teacher. That experience gave me a special appreciation for working with children and their parents and continues to influence how I connect with younger clients today.

I'm also passionate about working with adults who have experienced trauma, particularly through EMDR therapy. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing someone finally experience relief from trauma they've carried for a long time. I believe every client can heal, and there is always hope.

My goal isn't to tell you where you need to go. It's to meet you where you are, provide the tools and care you need, and help guide you along the way.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy traveling, reading, and being creative. I believe it's important for clients to know that while I'm a professional, I'm also a real person. Building a genuine connection is an important part of the work we'll do together.
